Connect Avalara AvaTax or use manual tax rates by region
Tanqory now lets you calculate tax per region with your own tax provider account, such as Avalara AvaTax, and falls back to your manual rates if the provider cannot answer.
What you can do now
- Manual or automatic Set each tax region to manual rates or automatic calculation, and deselecting a provider returns the store to manual.
- Test and live credentials Save separate test and live Avalara credentials, and the connection is checked with a test calculation before it goes active.
- Clear errors, safe fallback Settings show Avalara's own error message, and checkout uses your manual rates when the provider fails.

- Customer emails in your buyer's own languageStore emails now go out in the buyer's language, then your default language, then English, including back-in-stock and price-drop emails. Settings > Notifications
- Check market prices before you save a manual rateEnter a manual exchange rate for a market and see the prices it would give before you save, so you can catch a mistyped rate first. Markets > market > Currency
- Choose the languages each domain servesAssign languages to each domain and pick its default, and your storefront and checkout use that default and only the languages you have published. Settings > Languages
