No. Domains you buy in the Tanqory admin are registered through our registrar partner, and you manage them in your admin: DNS, renewals, privacy and transfers.
How much does a domain cost?
The price depends on the name and the extension. Your admin shows it in the search results before you choose, and you pay on the purchase page. Hosting and SSL are already part of every plan.
Do I need to buy hosting?
No. Free SSL and hosting come with every Tanqory plan, so a domain is the only thing you add.
Which extensions can I search?
A search checks the exact name, suggests other names built from it and checks other extensions such as .store, .shop, .online, .co, .io, .net and .org.
Can I connect or transfer a domain I already own?
Yes. Connect it and keep it at your current registrar, with one-click setup where your DNS provider supports Domain Connect, or transfer it into Tanqory and follow the transfer in your admin.
How will my domain renew?
Turn on auto-renew and it renews before it expires; you get a notice in your admin before the renewal. You can also renew by hand or change auto-renew for several domains at once.
How do I keep my details private?
Turn on WHOIS privacy for the domain in your admin, so your contact details stay out of public lookups. Your SSL certificate is issued and renewed for you.
What is a subdomain?
A name in front of your domain, like www or shop. Every store also starts on its own free store address, which you can rename, so you can sell before you choose a domain.
