Build on Tanqory

Themes in React and TypeScript, a CLI that runs from your terminal or your coding agent, open APIs for headless storefronts and an MCP server for AI assistants. Ship client work sooner, and hand over a store the merchant can still edit without calling you.

Quick start

One CLI, from first commit to a live store

Install the Tanqory CLI from npm, sign in once, and the same tool scaffolds a theme, runs it on live store data, ships an app and submits your work for review.

Build a theme on real products

Scaffold from the Nova starter, run it on localhost with the store's live products, then push. The storefront rebuilds, and every section stays editable in the visual editor.Scaffold a theme from the Nova starterRun it locally with live store data and hot reloadPush, and the storefront rebuilds

Themes

Real React, and the merchant can still edit it

Every section is a typed React component in TypeScript, rendered on servers at the edge. Write it in your editor or ask your coding agent for it, and the merchant changes the words, photos and order in the visual editor without a support ticket.

  • React and TypeScript, no template language

  • Rendered on servers at the edge

  • Editable in the visual editor after you hand it over

  • Every theme is free for the merchant

Coding agents and MCP

Let your coding agent do the groundwork

Run the Tanqory CLI and the theme developer MCP from Claude Code and other coding agents, and connect any store to Claude and other AI assistants through the Tanqory MCP server with a secure sign-in. The agent drafts the change; nothing changes in the store until a person confirms it.

  • Tanqory MCP server with a secure sign-in

  • Theme developer MCP for coding agents

  • Every change waits for a person to confirm

Connect AI assistants

Launch

Hand it over, or put it in front of every merchant

Deliver a theme to one client, or submit it to the theme marketplace for every merchant to find. Apps go through the same review, so merchants see exactly which store data an app asks for before they approve it.

  • Submit a theme from the terminal

  • App permissions reviewed before release

  • Pull any store's theme to keep working on it

What language are Tanqory themes written in?

React and TypeScript. Every section is a typed React component, rendered on servers at the edge, and it stays editable for the merchant in the visual editor.

How do I install the Tanqory CLI?

Run npm install -g @tanqory/cli with Node 18 or later, then tanqory login. The CLI scaffolds themes and apps, runs them on live store data, pushes your work and submits it for review.

Can I work on a theme that is already live?

Yes. tanqory theme pull downloads the store's current theme source, so you can keep developing it locally and push it back when it is ready.

How do AI assistants connect to a store?

Through the Tanqory MCP server, with a secure sign-in. The merchant connects Claude or another assistant and can run the store from there, with every change confirmed first.

Does the merchant pay for the theme I build on top?

Every Tanqory theme is free on every plan. What you charge your client for your own work is up to you.
