Questions about checkout
What does Tanqory charge per sale?
Nothing. Tanqory takes a 0% transaction fee on every plan, with any payment provider you connect. You pay your provider's own rate, and we never mark it up.
Which payment methods can buyers use?
Card payments run through the provider you connect, with wallets offered inside the card form on devices that support them. Next to them you can turn on manual methods: cash on delivery, bank deposit, money order or a custom method of your own.
Can buyers check out without an account?
Yes. Guest checkout works without an account, and you can require sign-in in your Checkout settings when your store runs on customer accounts.
How are tax and shipping worked out?
Tax comes from your tax calculation service, and you add a tax region by creating a shipping zone. Shipping rates are set for each shipping zone, and the buyer picks a delivery option before paying.
Can I offer discounts at checkout?
Yes. Create discount codes and automatic sales in Discounts. Buyers apply a code at checkout and the total is worked out again.
Is card data safe?
Card details are entered into the Stripe payment form, so card numbers do not pass through your store.
When is the buyer charged?
That depends on your capture setting. Automatic capture at checkout charges as soon as the order is placed. Capture on fulfillment charges once the entire order is fulfilled. Manual capture waits for you.
What happens to a checkout that is left unfinished?
After thirty minutes without activity it is marked as abandoned and listed in Orders under Abandoned Checkouts. Its status moves from Not Contacted to Contacted to Recovered, and a Recovered by column shows who brought the sale back.
What can the AI assistant set up for me?
Ask the assistant built into your admin for a discount code, a gift card or a new market and it does the work once you confirm. Everyday assistant work never uses credits. For a first order, checkout itself needs a product, a payment method and a shipping zone with rates, because buyers cannot check out until a delivery option exists.
