Cross-border selling

One store. Every border.

Give each country its own currency, language, prices and tax rules from a single admin. Buyers see the full cost before they pay, and Tanqory adds a 0% transaction fee wherever they are.

Who this is for

Your product already travels. Your store should too.

Orders from abroad usually arrive before a plan for them does. Tanqory keeps every market inside the store you already run: the same products, the same orders page and the same team, with the settings that change from country to country kept in one place called Markets.

  • Prices, currencies and settings per market
  • Store languages for buyers in other countries
  • Taxes and duties, customs details and shipping zones in Settings

Why sell across borders here

A buyer abroad should feel at home in your store

Four things decide whether someone in another country finishes the order. Each one is a setting in your admin, not a second store.

  • Prices in their money

Set the currency and the prices for each market. A buyer in Seoul reads won and a buyer in Lisbon reads euros, on the same product page.

    Set in Markets

  • Words in their language

Add store languages and translate your storefront, so product pages, the cart and checkout read naturally to the people you sell to.

    Set in Store languages

  • No surprise at the door

Duties and import taxes are shown at checkout, and each market shows tax the way its shoppers expect: included in the price or added on top.

    Set in Taxes and duties

  • Paid locally, 0% fee

Connect your own Stripe or PayPal account and add local payment methods through regional gateways. Tanqory takes 0% of every sale.

One order, start to finish

Follow one cup across a border

Pick a market. The same product is priced in the buyer's currency and language, checkout adds shipping, duties and tax before they pay, and the order lands in your admin with nothing taken by Tanqory.

The tools

Five settings that take a store abroad

Each one lives in your admin and applies to every order from that market.

  1. Markets: currency, prices and tax display

Create a market for each country or region you sell to. Set its currency and prices, and choose whether prices include tax, tax is added on top, or the choice follows the destination.

    Explore taxes and duties
  2. Store languages

Add the languages your buyers read and translate your storefront. The product page, cart and checkout follow the language the shopper picks.

    See the online store
  3. Customs details on every product

A parcel that crosses a border needs a country of origin, an HS code and a customs description. Enter them once on the product's Shipping card, or fill the gaps in bulk with CSV import.

    Explore products
  4. Local payment methods, your own provider

Buyers pay through the Stripe, PayPal or Braintree account you connect, in the currencies and countries that account supports, and regional gateways add the methods local shoppers expect. You pay your provider's own rate and Tanqory adds 0%.

    Explore payments
  5. Shipping zones and smart routing

Build zones from whole countries or single provinces; the countries come from your Markets. Routing keeps an order inside its destination market and ships from the closest location, and carriers that support prepaid duties are marked.

What the buyer gets

It arrives like a local order

The shopper paid one total in their own currency, with duties and tax already in it. The parcel carries its customs details from your product record, so there is nothing left to settle at the door.

  • One total in the buyer's currency at checkout
  • Duties and import taxes shown before payment
  • Customs details travel with the order

Questions about selling abroad

A courier hands a parcel to a customer at her front door.

Do I need a separate store for each country?

No. One Tanqory store sells to every market you create. Each market has its own currency, prices and settings, and all of them share one catalog, one orders page and one team. The AI assistant in your admin works across all of them, so a new country is not another tool to learn.

Where do I set prices for another country?

In Markets. Each market has its own currency and prices, and you choose whether its prices include tax, tax is added on top, or the choice follows the destination.

Does the buyer see duties and import taxes before paying?

Yes. Cross-border selling covers currencies, duties and local payments, so duties and import taxes appear at checkout with the rest of the order. Carriers that support prepaid duties are marked when you buy a label.

What customs information does a product need?

A country of origin, a Harmonized System (HS) code and a customs description. Enter them on the product's Shipping card or fill the gaps in bulk with CSV import. The Customs information card in Taxes and duties shows how many variants have them.

Does Tanqory register my business for tax in other countries?

No. In most places you register with the tax authority before you charge its tax. A new store charges nothing until you turn collection on, so you can wait until you are registered.

Which currencies and payment methods can buyers use?

Card payments through Stripe work in the currencies and countries your Stripe account supports; Tanqory does not narrow that list. PayPal and Braintree connect the same way, and regional gateways add local payment methods.

What does Tanqory charge on an international sale?

A 0% transaction fee on every plan, with any payment provider you connect. You pay your provider's own rate and Tanqory never marks it up.
