No. Search, including search by meaning, comes with every Tanqory store at no extra cost. There is no search app to install.
What does search by meaning do?
It reads what a shopper means, not only the words they type. A shopper who asks for “something warm for winter” finds a striped wool beanie, even when the product never uses those words. Products that match the words exactly still come first.
What happens when a shopper makes a typo?
Search allows a slip of one or two letters, depending on the length of the word, and ignores accents. A shopper who types “shrit” still finds the shirt.
Does it work with my theme?
Tanqory themes come with a search box, a search results page with sorting and product recommendations. If you build your own storefront, the same search, suggestions and recommendations are open to you through the storefront API.
