Questions about shipping
Which carriers can I connect?
DHL Express, FedEx and UPS connect directly with your account number. Easyship and Shippo are aggregators: one account returns rates from many couriers.
Can I use the rates I negotiated with my carrier?
Yes. Connect your carrier account under Carrier accounts. Rates and labels then use your contract, and the carrier bills you directly.
How do I pay for shipping labels?
Labels are paid from a prepaid shipping balance that you top up in the admin. If you connect your own carrier account, the carrier bills you instead.
Can some products have their own shipping rates?
Yes. Create a custom shipping profile, add the products and give it its own zones and rates. Every product that is not in a custom profile uses the general profile.
How do I check what a buyer will be offered at checkout?
Open Test rates, enter a country, a postal code and a cart, and run the test. It uses the same rules as checkout, shows the delivery options that cart would get and why the others are left out, and saves nothing.
Can I show a delivery date at checkout?
Yes. Set estimated delivery dates to Manual. Checkout then adds your location's fulfillment time to the transit time of the rate and shows a date range.
How does Tanqory choose which location ships an order?
Routing rules run from top to bottom. A store starts with three: minimize split fulfillments, stay within the destination market and ship from the closest location. You can add ranked locations or a location metafield.
Can buyers collect an order or get local delivery?
Yes. Turn on pickup in store or local delivery for each location that offers it, and set the zones and prices on the local delivery page.
