Duties default to delivered at place, set per market
Tanqory now starts new markets on delivered at place terms and keeps duties settings per market, so the Duties page, the market page and checkout give the same answer.
What you can do now
- Delivered at place by default New markets use delivered at place terms, where the buyer pays any import charges on delivery.
- Clear import charge notice Checkout tells buyers whether import charges are collected, and a failed duty estimate does not show as a zero charge.
- One setting per market Switching duties off for one market no longer switches off another market that shares its main country.
More International updates
- Customer emails in your buyer's own languageStore emails now go out in the buyer's language, then your default language, then English, including back-in-stock and price-drop emails. Settings > Notifications
- Check market prices before you save a manual rateEnter a manual exchange rate for a market and see the prices it would give before you save, so you can catch a mistyped rate first. Markets > market > Currency
- Choose the languages each domain servesAssign languages to each domain and pick its default, and your storefront and checkout use that default and only the languages you have published. Settings > Languages
