In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add and Add custom connector. Name it Tanqory, paste ai.tanqory.com/api/mcp, select Connect and sign in with your Tanqory account. Then switch Tanqory on from the + menu in a chat.
Which Claude plans can add it?
Claude offers custom connectors on its Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector once for the organization, in Organization settings, Connectors.
Do I need a Tanqory store first?
You sign in with a Tanqory account. If you do not have a store yet, you can start one and then ask Claude to build it out with a theme, pages and products.
Can Claude change my store without asking?
No. Questions are answered straight away, but every change comes back as a preview. Tanqory saves it only after you confirm, and that confirmation works once, for that exact change.
Does it cost AI credits?
Questions, reports and admin work through the connector use no AI credits. Credits apply to work such as generating images. Your plan's credits are on the pricing page.
Can I use Claude Code to build a theme?
Yes. Developers build themes and apps with the Tanqory CLI and the theme developer MCP from Claude Code. The developers page has the details.
What can Claude see in my store?
Only what you allow at the Tanqory sign-in. Reading store data, reading sales reports, editing products and content, running store operations and changing the storefront are separate permissions.
Can Claude build my storefront?
Yes, when you allow storefront changes at the Tanqory sign-in. Describe what you sell and Claude can start a store with a theme, pages and products, and nothing is saved until you confirm. Building a store or a theme uses AI credits.
Using ChatGPT instead?
