Connect Tanqory to ChatGPT in four steps
ChatGPT adds outside tools as custom MCP servers from its Plugins page. You need the Tanqory server address and your Tanqory sign-in. Nothing to install.

Ask which products sold least last month, how buyers found your store or how many customers came back. In ChatGPT, open Plugins, select the plus button and choose Add custom MCP server. Name it Tanqory, paste ai.tanqory.com/api/mcp, choose OAuth, create it and sign in with your Tanqory account.
What can ChatGPT see in my store?
Only what you allow at the Tanqory sign-in. Reading store data, reading sales reports, editing products and content, running store operations and changing the storefront are separate permissions.
Do I need a Tanqory store first?
You sign in with a Tanqory account. If you do not have a store yet, you can start one and then ask ChatGPT to build it out with a theme, pages and products.
Can ChatGPT change my store without asking?
No. Questions are answered straight away, but every change comes back as a preview. Tanqory saves it only after you confirm, and that confirmation works once, for that exact change.
Does it cost AI credits?
Questions, reports and admin work through the connector use no AI credits. Credits apply to work such as generating images. Your plan's credits are on the pricing page.
Will my products show up when buyers shop with ChatGPT?
That is a separate setting: Tanqory sends a product feed to ChatGPT from Settings, Product feeds, so shoppers can discover your products. The connector on this page is for running your store.
Can ChatGPT build my storefront?
Yes, when you allow storefront changes at the Tanqory sign-in. Describe what you sell and ChatGPT can start a store with a theme, pages and products, and nothing is saved until you confirm. Building a store or a theme uses AI credits.
Do developers have their own tools?
Yes. Developers build themes and apps with the Tanqory CLI and the theme developer MCP from Claude Code and other coding agents. The developers page has the details.
