6 ads. The one shown: Flavor, every morning

One ad, six placements

Each feed shows a different part of your ad

Facebook cuts your text after about 125 characters, TikTok takes 100 at most, and a pin shows its title and little else. Here is what each placement shows, the image it wants and the limits the generator counts against.

A little more warmth, every evening. Meet handmade candles, built to last. Find your favorite today.

Two candles in glass jars on a stone ledge with lavender

Facebook feed

Primary text above the picture shows about 125 characters before See more. The headline under it shows about 27, the description about 27. Use a 1080 x 1350 (4:5) or 1080 x 1080 image.

A serum bottle and a jar of cream on dark stone

What would your routine look like with fewer, better things? Begin with skincare, kind to skin.

Instagram feed

The picture comes first, then the button bar, then your caption, cut at about 125 characters. Most people never tap more, so the first line has to work alone. A 1080 x 1350 (4:5) image fills the most screen.

Rails of shirts and trousers in a bright shop

More comfort. Less fuss. Linen shirts, made to be worn. Shop the range today.

Stories and Reels

Full screen at 1080 x 1920 (9:16). Only the start of your text shows over the picture, and the profile name and the button cover the top and the foot, so keep words and logos in the middle.

A founder at work with her dog beside her

Your old dog treats had a good run.

TikTok

Ad text takes 1 to 100 characters, spaces and marks included, and sits over the foot of a 9:16 video beside the like and share buttons. The generator keeps the sentences that fit.

Pinterest

A tall 2:3 pin at 1000 x 1500. The title takes up to 100 characters, but the feed shows about the first 40, so the headline is written to read in that space.

LinkedIn

Introductory text shows about 150 characters before see more, the headline about 70. A 1200 x 627 (1.91:1) or square image works, and a plain, specific line reads better there than hype.

Five angles

Five ways to open an ad, and when each one works

Testing ads means testing angles, not commas. The generator writes each angle so you can run two or three against each other and keep the one that gets the clicks.

Comfort, every day

Benefit first

Say what the buyer gets in the first line. It works for products people already want, where the only question is which one.

Before you publish

Four checks before an ad goes live

The start of the text, the button and the picture are all most buyers see before they scroll on. Check these four first.

Our candles are poured by hand in small batches in our workshop, with cotton wicks and a soy blend we tested for two years, and now they come in four new scents for the autumn.

The first 125 characters carry it

Feeds cut the text at about 125 characters, so the point, the product and the reason to click go first. Anything after See more is for the few who tap.

One offer, one button

An ad with two offers and three asks gets none of them done. Pick the one step you want, choose the button that says it, and make the text point at it.

Let the picture talk

Meta dropped its rule limiting text to 20 percent of an image in 2020, but it still advises that images with less text tend to do better. Put the words in the text fields, not on the photo.

Match the page it opens

Buyers who tap expect to land on what the ad showed, at the price it showed. Link to the product page itself, not the home page, and keep the same name and photo.

On Tanqory

From an ad to the sale it should bring

An ad only pays when the tap lands on a product that is ready to sell. On Tanqory your catalog feeds the ad platforms, the assistant writes the copy in your voice, and built-in reviews give your proof ads something real to quote.

  1. Your catalog in the ad platforms

Send product feeds to Meta, TikTok, Google Merchant Center and ChatGPT from one settings page, so every ad points at a product with its real price.See sales channels

  2. Copy in the voice of your ads

Ask the assistant to rewrite product descriptions and launch emails to match the ad that works. Writing like this is included in every plan and does not use AI credits, and the assistant waits for your confirmation before it saves.See the AI assistant

  3. Reviews for your proof ads

Product reviews are built in: collect them, moderate them and show them on your product pages. Your review average is then a fact you can put in a proof ad.See the product catalog

Questions about social ads

Still have a question?

The help center covers your catalog, sales channels and marketing step by step.

Visit the help center
What size should a social media ad be?

It depends on the placement. Facebook and Instagram feeds suit 1080 x 1350 (4:5) or 1080 x 1080 (1:1). Stories, Reels and TikTok are full screen at 1080 x 1920 (9:16). A Pinterest pin is 1000 x 1500 (2:3), and LinkedIn takes 1200 x 627 (1.91:1) or a square.

How long should ad text be?

Short enough that the point lands before the platform cuts it: about 125 characters on Facebook and Instagram, 150 on LinkedIn and 100 at most on TikTok. Headlines show about 27 characters on Facebook, 70 on LinkedIn and 40 on a pin. The generator counts every field against the placement you pick.

How does this ad generator work, and does it use AI?

It writes ads from patterns for each angle and tone, filled with your product, your offer and your facts, all in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Tanqory or anyone else. On Tanqory, the AI assistant writes product copy and emails for your store.

Is the social ad generator free?

Yes. It is free, with no account and no limit on how many ads you write. Saved ads stay in this browser until you clear them.

How do I use these ads in an ads manager?

Copy an ad or download the CSV, then paste each field into the matching box when you create the ad: primary text, headline, description and call to action on Meta; ad text and call to action on TikTok; title and description on Pinterest. Pick the same button in the ads manager as the one your copy points at.

Can I put a discount or a rating in my ad?

Yes, when it is true. The generator writes offer and proof ads only from what you type and never adds a number of its own. Advertising law in most countries and the ad platforms' own policies require claims like these to be accurate and the offer to be honored.

How many ads should I test?

Start with two or three ads that differ in angle, such as a benefit ad against a question ad, with the same picture and audience. Give them a few days and enough spend to compare, then keep the winner and test a new angle against it.

Does text on the image still matter?

Meta removed its rule limiting text to 20 percent of an image in 2020, so an ad is no longer rejected for it. Meta still advises that less text on the image tends to work better, so keep the words in the text fields and let the photo show the product.
