Sample cards
A layout for the way you work
Each card below is drawn by the same code as the maker, for an example business. Pick a layout, then make it yours with a typeface and a colourway.
Split, for a florist
A block of colour carries the logo on the front and the shop name on the back, so the card reads from across a market stall.
Grid, for a studio
A mono typeface on a ruled grid, with every contact in its own cell. Precise, quiet and easy to scan.
Editorial, for a bakery
A centred serif name under a ring monogram, the way a menu or a label is set. Warm without any decoration.
Bold, for a coach
The business name set large on a dark front, with one line of colour. It looks like a brand, even for a team of one.
Before you print
Four things a print shop checks
A printer looks at the same few things before running your cards. The maker builds each one into the file.
Colour runs past the cut
Cards are printed on a large sheet and cut, and the blade can drift a little. Backgrounds run 3 mm (1/8 in) past the trim line, so no white sliver shows at the edge.
Words stay in the safe zone
Names, numbers and logos sit at least 3 mm inside the cut, so a cut that lands slightly off never clips a letter.
US 3.5 x 2 in
EU 85 x 55 mm
The size of your market
Cards in the US and Canada are 3.5 x 2 in; most of Europe uses 85 x 55 mm. Each file is made at the exact size, with its bleed, at 300 dpi.
A QR code that scans
Every QR code on a card is at least 15 mm across with a clear margin. Scan it on screen and on one test print before the full run.

Questions
Business card questions
Is the business card maker free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no email step. Make as many cards as you like and download each side as PNG or SVG.
Are my details or my logo uploaded?
No. The card is drawn by code running in your browser. Your details and your logo stay on this device; nothing is sent to our servers or stored.
What size is a business card?
In the US and Canada a business card is 3.5 x 2 in (88.9 x 50.8 mm). In most of Europe it is 85 x 55 mm. Pick either size in the maker; the file includes the bleed a printer needs.
Which file do I send to the printer?
The PNG is 300 dpi with the bleed included, which most print shops and online printers accept. The SVG keeps text and shapes as vectors, for a printer or designer who wants to edit it. If your printer asks for a PDF, open the SVG in a design app or your browser and save it as PDF at actual size.
What should go on a business card?
Your name and job title, your business name, one or two ways to reach you (email and phone), and your website. A logo and a short tagline help people remember you. Leave out anything you would not want a stranger to keep.
How do I put a QR code on my business card?
Type your website and the maker puts a QR code that opens it on the back of the card. Scan it from the screen with your phone before you print.
What are bleed and the safe zone?
Bleed is the strip of background that runs past the trim line, 3 mm or 1/8 in, so the cut never leaves a white edge. The safe zone is the same distance inside the trim line: keep text and logos there so the cut never clips them. Turn on the guides in the maker to see both.
Do you have other free tools?
Yes. The barcode generator makes EAN, UPC, Code 128 and QR codes for your products, and the AI readiness checker shows how well AI assistants can read your store.
Hand out a card. Open a store.
Describe what you sell and Tanqory drafts the store your QR code opens: brand, theme, pages and products. Your logo, colours and contact details live in brand settings, so the store matches the card.
