Google Pay

Let buyers on Android and in Chrome pay with a card saved to their Google account. It runs through your own Stripe account, and Tanqory takes 0% of the sale.

Checkout

Checkout with a saved card, on Android and in Chrome

Buyers skip typing a card number and an address. Google Pay fills both from their Google account, they confirm, and the order is placed.

  • Card, shipping address and email filled from the buyer's Google account

  • Shown only to buyers whose device and browser support it

  • The order is created only after Stripe confirms the payment

  • Turn any method off for your checkout at any time

How payments work on Tanqory

Fees

Tanqory takes 0% of every Google Pay sale

Every plan has a 0% transaction fee, whichever payment provider you connect. You pay Stripe its own rate, and Tanqory never marks it up, so what is left after that rate is yours.

  • 0% Tanqory transaction fee on every plan

  • Stripe's own rate, never marked up by Tanqory

  • No penalty for keeping the provider you already use

After the sale

Less to check by hand after every payment

The payment, the order and the numbers live in one admin, so there is no separate payments dashboard to reconcile and no extra app to pay for.

Every payment sits on its order

Each order carries its Stripe payment and status, next to the items, the buyer and the shipping, so there is nothing to match up later.

Shown only where it works

Buyers see Google Pay only when their device and browser can pay with it. Everyone else sees your other methods, so nobody meets a button that fails.

Ask the assistant

Ask it to switch a method on or off and it drafts the change for you to confirm, with nothing to find in settings. Everyday assistant work uses no AI credits.

Questions before you connect?

Talk to our team about providers, methods and fees for your store.

Contact us
What do I need to accept Google Pay?

A Tanqory store and your own Stripe account. Connect Stripe from your payment settings by signing in. When wallets are active on your Stripe account, Tanqory turns Google Pay on for your checkout.

Does Tanqory charge a fee on Google Pay payments?

No. Every plan has a 0% Tanqory transaction fee. You pay Stripe its own processing rate, and Tanqory never marks it up.

Which buyers see Google Pay at checkout?

Buyers whose device and browser support Google Pay, such as Chrome and Android phones with a saved card. Everyone else sees your other methods, such as cards and PayPal.

When is the order created?

Only after Stripe confirms the payment. Tanqory books the order from Stripe's signed confirmation, so a payment that does not go through never becomes an order.

Can I turn Google Pay off?

Yes. Choose which methods your checkout offers in your payment settings, and switch Google Pay off or on again at any time.

Does Google Pay work with a headless storefront?

Yes. The Storefront API tells your own front end which wallets the store accepts, so a custom storefront can show the same Google Pay option.
